Rajpar, Managing Director of General Shipping Agencies, shares his perspective on Portverse by PSW, highlighting it as a transformative Port Community System (PCS)- Portverse that digitally connects all stakeholders across Pakistan’s maritime and trade ecosystem. Drawing on decades of experience with key institutions such as Karachi Port Trust, Port Qasim Authority, and Gwadar Port, he notes that the initiative is built on global best practices, inspired by Singapore’s model, and developed through extensive stakeholder engagement.  

Naveed Abbas Memon, Chief Domain Officer (CDO) at PSW, shares insights on PortVerse, Pakistan’s Port Community System developed by PSW to integrate maritime and logistics stakeholders onto a single platform. By digitalizing manual procedures, the system enables seamless coordination for vessel and cargo clearances, ensuring faster approvals and improved efficiency. Aligned with global requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), this initiative aims to reduce clearance times, streamline documentation, and enhance ease of doing business by making information accessible electronically to all relevant stakeholders.  

Alia Shahid, Director General, Ports and Shipping Wing, highlighted the Portverse - Port Community System (PCS), developed by PSW, as a forward-looking initiative that brings together key maritime stakeholders on a unified digital platform. She focused on its strong potential to enhance efficiency, connectivity, and transparency across Pakistan’s maritime operations. She also underlined its broader importance in supporting maritime trade facilitation and contributing to a more modern, integrated, and competitive trade ecosystem in Pakistan.
