An Introduction to Pakistan Single Window (PSW) and the Trade Information Portal of Pakistan (TIPP)”, organized by the Quality Enhancement Cell of Shaheed Allah Bux Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design and Heritages, Jamshoro. During the seminar, PSW representative Rizwan Samad delivered a comprehensive presentation on digital trade facilitation, online customs clearance, simplification of documentation, and the role of PSW and TIPP in making cross-border trade more efficient, transparent, and faster.
In his address, Shan Sehgal stated that digital trade facilitation and modern platforms like Pakistan Single Window are creating vast opportunities for the new generation of entrepreneurs. He emphasized the need to strengthen collaboration between universities and chambers to provide guidance, practical training, and market access to emerging business leaders.
He further said that the Hyderabad Chamber is actively moving beyond traditional business practices and working to create opportunities for new entrepreneurs.
In this regard, strong linkages are being established with universities across Sindh so that industries can benefit from motivated and skilled youth, ultimately contributing to the economic development of Hyderabad, Sindh, and Pakistan.
Mr. Sehgal reaffirmed that the Hyderabad Chamber is fully committed to promoting entrepreneurship among youth and strengthening the business environment through collaboration with academic institutions. He praised the initiative and stated that cooperation between academia and industry is essential for national economic growth.
On this occasion, Dr. Sania Bashir, Co-Convener of the Banking Sub-Committee of HCSTSI and Founder of Diabetes Tele care, also addressed the seminar and highlighted business opportunities, financial facilitation, and the importance of modern banking systems in the evolving digital economy.
The seminar concluded with remarks by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Arabella Bhutto, who termed the event a success and emphasized that educational institutions play a key role in national digital transformation and trade facilitation reforms.
